Groundbreaking ceremony at Ugakei

Recently we attended the groundbreaking ceremony for our Hygge Circles Ugakei near Inabe, Japan.

The groundbreaking ceremony (Jichin sai 地鎮祭) was performed according to the Japanese tradition by a Shinto priest, dressed in colorful ceremonial costume, praying for the safety of workers during the construction.

The project is a collaboration between @NordiskOutdoor and Inabe City and the design team consisting of @tredjenatur @structuredenvironment & #HenrikInnovation. Circularity and self-sufficiency has been actively used in the design and using timber primarily for the structure and architecture has been a key focus.

We are very pleased that the project has now started construction and look forward to seeing the constructor and carpenters do their best to bring our vision to life.
